EDG substitute AD Carry Hae “Zet” Sung-min has announced his free agency on the EDG official Weibo account, after one year with the 2017 LPL champions. Formerly known as Cry, Zet was Rox Tiger’s substitute mid-laner in 2016, entering professional play at 19 years of age.
Zet joined EDG in December of 2016, after Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu departed the team to join KT Rolster.
Zet was the starting AD Carry for EDG in 2017 LPL spring split, until after Rift Rivals when their prodigy AD Carry Hu “iBoy” Xian-Zhao finally met the Riot-enforced age limit of 17, and could play in LPL.
In the emotional farewell video, EDG looked fondly on Zet’s time with them, and showed his effort towards being friends, and doing his best to learn Chinese.
The video has been translated to English and posted to YouTube by infamous EDG fan @iCrystalization,
