DreamLeague Season 9 Results
On March 25th, Team Secret took first place at Dream League Season 9, a Minor on the Dota 2 Pro Circuit (DPC). After a convincing upper bracket run, Team Secret met Fnatic in the grand finals, beating them 3-0. As the winning team, Team Secret took home 150 qualifying points per player for the DPC and (US)$125,000. Team Secret currently sits in third place in the DPC rankings, while Fnatic is in 10th place.
Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 Begins
The group stage for the Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 (DAC) began on March 29 and will end on April 1st. The Major’s the first on the DPC this season to use a round robin group stage with a double elimination playoff for sixteen teams.
Winners of Epicenter Casting Contest Announced
Epicenter announced the winners of their EPICENTER XL Casting Contest. Six individuals were selected: Grant “GrandGrant” Harris, Nick “BreakyCPK” Caras, Benjamin “BKOP” Kopilow, Darren “KillerPigeon” Elmy, Jared “Nomad” Bajina, and Jack “Mofarah” Williams.
Patch 7.12
Valve released Patch 7.12 on schedule on March 29th, between the first and second days of the DAC group stages. The inclusion in Captain’s Mode of Pangolier, one of two heroes added to the game last fall, raised eyebrows as the hero went untouched otherwise. This patch adjusted the skills of more than fifty heroes and tweaked ten items.
